Uber and Unilever Team Up To Provide UK Drivers With Hygiene Kits
Ride-hailing firm Uber has teamed up with the multinational business Unilever International to provide hygiene kits to Uber drivers and couriers all across the UK.
Rolling out on Monday, 3rd August, the partnership will be spread across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Unilever says the kit is one of a number of safety measures being rolled out by Uber amidst the pandemic, who are aiming to keep both their drivers and passengers as safe as possible.
These kits will include a range of different products, such as Cif Antibacterial Multi-Purpose Spray and Lifebuoy hand gel. Educational materials and training will also be provided to drivers and couriers.
“After months of asking people to stay home for the safety of themselves and others, we are taking unprecedented measures to help our community get back to work and start moving again safely”, says Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi.
“We’re glad that Unilever International is able to provide Unilever’s world-class hygiene products to Uber’s drivers and couriers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa as people start commuting and working again, as we all start to transition into the new normal”, says Umesh Shah, CEO of Unilever International.
Freeway Insurance: Taxi Insurance You Can Depend On
We’ve spent 20 years getting to know the taxi business, understanding taxi drivers and providing taxi insurance for thousands of Uber drivers, hackney carriages, private hire vehicles and executive cars.
We’ve seen the taxi driving trade undergo major change in that time and watched Britain’s drivers adapt, survive and thrive in each new era. And while the environment for our taxi driver customers has altered beyond measure over the years, what they need from their insurance provider remains exactly the same: competitively priced, easy-to-arrange taxi insurance that delivers when they need it to.
